Common Questions

Is the free plan really free — forever?
Yes. The core map with live fuel availability, situation pins, and community notes is free with no expiry, no credit card, and no hidden limits that kick in after a trial. We are not in the business of luring you in and then gating features. The free tier is a genuine product.
How do I pay with M-Pesa?
When you tap "Upgrade to Pro" in the app, you'll be prompted with an M-Pesa STK push to your registered phone number. Enter your M-Pesa PIN to confirm. Billing is monthly on the same date. You can also pay via Airtel Money or card.
What happens to my Pro subscription if I miss a payment?
You get a 7-day grace period with reminders before your account downgrades to the free tier. Your data (history, watchlist items, notes) is preserved for 30 days in case you reactivate. Nothing is deleted without warning.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you're unhappy for any reason in the first 14 days of a paid plan, email us and we'll refund in full — no questions asked. After 14 days, we review case by case but lean toward refunding if the issue is on our side.
My NGO/government agency needs the data API. Do we qualify for free access?
Quite possibly yes. Organizations with a public mandate (emergency services, fuel regulators, disaster management, public health) can apply for free API access in exchange for attribution and any reciprocal data they can share. Contact us with your organization details.
We have 200 vehicles. Can we negotiate pricing?
Absolutely. Large fleet accounts (50+ vehicles) are negotiated directly. Contact our sales team with your fleet size, geography, and use case — we'll build a custom package with dedicated support and SLA commitments.
Will you raise prices on existing subscribers?
If we ever need to, we give 30 days notice and grandfather existing subscribers at their current price for 12 months from the announcement. Annual subscribers never see a change mid-term. We document this as a formal policy, not just a promise.
How does the Station Verified Listing work?
Once you sign up, you get access to the Station Operator Portal where you can publish your real-time fuel status, set current prices, update queue estimates, and push promotional messages to users within 3km. Your station gets a blue verified checkmark and appears with priority in search results. There's a 30-day free trial — no card required to start.
